Sharesies was started in 2017 after founders Brooke, Leighton and Sonya saw the difficulty that young New Zealanders had in investing. Leaving their jobs in banking, the young team created and launched the platform and have recently finished their Beta with over 2000 customers.

Spalk are seeking to redefine sports commentary, crowdsourcing and bringing it into the internet age. Founded by three University of Auckland undergraduates, it won the inaugural University Startup Challenge in 2015 and were accepted to the Vodafone Xone accelerator in 2016.

Spalk raised over $150k in their first round at the ICE Angels Annual Showcase, including $20k from First Cut’s Fund 1. They have recently closed their second funding round.

Halter are an innovative Internet of Things solution for dairy farming, creating collars that can track and herd dairy cows. Founders Craig and Max are engineering students at the University of Auckland and won the 2016 University Startup Challenge.

They raised $300k at the 2016 ICE Angels Showcase, including $25k from First Cut’s Fund 2. Rocket Lab founder Peter Beck has joined their board.
